This XVIII-century building stands out amidst a backdrop of 1980s structures, showcasing the signi5cance of preserving Lisbon's rich history. Designated as a building of municipal importance, the restoration project prioritized the revival of its architectural heritage. The main façade was meticulously preserved, with its elements replicated on new =oors and original features such as carpentry, tiles, and lioz stonework meticulously maintained. Emphasizing the building's historic charm, the spatial organization was redesigned to complement and showcase its unique characteristics. Balancing preservation with the creation of modern, functional spaces posed a signi5cant challenge but ultimately resulted in a harmonious blend of past and present in this iconic Lisbon landmark.
